Madan

Madan is a town in southern Bulgaria, located in the heart of the Rhodope Mountains. It is located in Smolyan Province and is a medium-sized city in the area. The town is the administrative center of Madan Municipality with a population of 15,500, which includes the town of Madan and 44 villages. It is a mountain town with a population of about 6,500 people, located in the Rhodope Mountains, 30 km from Smolyan and 120 km south of Plovdiv.
