Gorna Malina

Gorna Malina is a village in western Bulgaria. It is the administrative center of Gorna Malina Municipality, Sofia District. Gorna Malina Municipality is located near the city of Sofia - an important factor that has determined its development in recent years. It is located 33 km from the center of the capital. It is located on an area of 336.3 km2 in the central part of Western Bulgaria. It stretches between the ridge of Stara Planina to the north and Sredna Gora to the south. It borders the municipalities of Botevgrad, Pravets, Etropole, Elin Pelin and Mirkovo.
