Dospat

Dospat () is a town in Southern Bulgaria. It is located in Smolyan Province. Dospat is located in a mountainous region, in the western part of the Rhodope Mountains and with its 1358 m altitude is the highest mountain town in Bulgaria. Dospat Dam is located in the immediate vicinity of the city. The relief is mountainous strongly crossed, spring occurs late, summer is cool, and autumn warm. Due to the White Sea influence along the Dospatska River, the winter is mild, but snow is retained.
