Dolna Mitropoleia

Dołna Mitropoleia is a town in Northern Bulgaria. It is located in pleven region and next to the town of Pleven. The town is the administrative center of the Municipality of Lower Metropolitan. Lower Metropolitan was declared a city on September 13, 1977[2], and in 1979 the city became the center of a urban system. Initially, 10 settlements were included in the settlement system, and later in 1987 it was reorganized into a municipality with 16 settlements.
