The century-old tree

Overview

The winter oak from the village of Velchevo, called by the locals "Gorun", is an impressive ancient tree. Reached size in height and approximate age over 200 years. Some of the branches have dried up and there are no leaves on them. The tree has begun to lose its beauty and requires special care. And despite these problems it is amazing. The oak is part of the forest of Liposhnitsa. With its unique beauty, impressive size and long history, it rightly deserves to become a favorite tree in Bulgaria.
