Century-old winter oak
Overview
In the yard of the mosque of the village of Benkovski (Kirkovo municipality) grows a century-old (more than 200 years old) tree - winter oak of the species Quercus petraea sesiliflora. Some time ago there were 2 trees, but one of them withered. The circumference of the tree trunk is about 4 meters.
The centuries-old winter oak in the village of Benkovski was declared a protected natural site in 1975.
