Church of St.St. Peter and Paul Kula city
Overview
"St. St. Peter and Paul ”is a Revival Orthodox church in the Vidin town of Kula.
The temple is located in the city center. It was built in 1858 by Debar masters. The Macedonian masters who built the temple recommended Dicho Zograf as an icon painter and according to local memories he lived in the city in 1863. Two of the ten royal icons are his - the Virgin and Child and Christ Almighty, the first two of which were signed and dated August 20, 1863. The other icons are by Evgeniy Popkuzmanov, who made an effort to imitate the style of Dicho Zograf.
The frescoes are from 1902 or 1904 - the work of the Debar painter Danail Nestorov, a gift according to the inscription on the image of St. Nicholas from the Dichovi family.
