Church Saint Michael the Archangel in the village of Milkovitsa
Overview
St. Archangel Michael is a Bulgarian Orthodox church in the village of Milkovitsa, Gulyantsi municipality. It is located in the center, behind the monument to those killed during the First World War, next to the town hall and community center "Ivan Vazov", founded in 1928. The church was built in 1851, single-nave, triapsid, with wooden emporium and approximately 9 18 meters. The bell tower of the church was built after the Liberation in the churchyard.
The icons were painted in 1895 by the prominent Debar master Nestor Trayanov.
The church was declared a cultural monument in 1981.
