Overview

The village of Yarlovtsi is located in a mountainous area, 1 km from the river Erma, 10 km from the town of Tran, surrounded by a pine forest. Pretty village with wonderful fresh air, tranquility, and coolness. The religion is Eastern Orthodox. The temple of the village is "St. Saint Demetrius of Thessaloniki” was built in 1835.

The church was the first newly built church around Tran, which marks the beginning of large-scale church construction in the entire region. The money for the construction was donated by the brothers Peyo and Georgi from the village of Yarlovtsi, sons of Stepan and Petria - residents of Dubrovnik and refugees from the plague. The church was painted by masters from the Samokov school.

In 2017 the temple was renovated.
