Church of the Virgin Mary in the village of Vlahi

Overview

The Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary or the Virgin Mary is a Revival church in the Kresna village of Vlahi in Pirin, Bulgaria, part of the Nevrokop Diocese of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church.

The church was built in 1750 (painted on the cross of the royal doors) or 1759 and is the oldest in Kresna. The church is located in the southern part of the village on the left bank of the Vlahinska river. The temple was built secretly, without permission from the authorities, and was half-dug. The temple is not served at the beginning of the XXI century and it is about to disintegrate.
