Chapel of the Holy Spirit
Overview
The Holy Spirit Chapel is located in the Momchil Yunak Forest Park. In 1921-1922, refugees built the earliest church in Momchilgrad on this place. The chapel fell into disrepair in the 1960s, but it remains a tradition for locals to gather and make a sacrifice on the temple holiday. Locals donated a new chapel in 1996, inaugurated by Father Boyan Saraev.
Every year on the eponymous holiday a citywide fair is held at this place, which gathers guests from all over the region.
