Municipal Tourist Information Center - Tvarditsa

Overview

Municipal Tourist Information Center - Tvarditsa was established in 2007 under the project "Public Forum - Tvarditsa", funded by SDC and Tvarditsa Municipality. Objectives of the center: To provide up-to-date information about the main tourist product: tourist bases, places for accommodation and meals, tourist trails in the Tvardishki and Shivachev Balkan, transport connections, opportunities for ski and eco-tourism in the mountains and fields; To popularize the natural resources and the cultural and historical heritage of the Tvarditsa region through: exhibitions, competitions, lectures, practical and applied activities, meetings, etc. To provide additional services - information about: - natural landmarks, protected areas, caves, beautiful areas, protected herbs and plants; - for historical places, personalities and related events from different periods in the history of the homeland; - the traditional culture in the Tvardishte region - potential for development of cultural tourism - holidays and customs from the spring, summer and autumn-winter cycle; family rituals, crafts in the past and today, traditional cuisine; livelihood activity, folklore heritage.
