Marble column with Arabic inscription - Dulovo
Overview
The marble column is one of the landmarks of the village of Grancharovo. The column is located in the cemetery of the mosque courtyard. There is an Arabic inscription from 1253 on it, according to which Sultan Mahmud II personally donated a letter of honor to the Muslims of the then population of the village. There are two more such columns in Bulgaria - one in Ruse and one in the museum in Silistra, which, however, is broken in two.
