Overview

Roman residence and road station "Skretiska" is located on the territory of the plant "Coca Cola" and in part of the Strawberry Farm in Kostinbrod, 5.06 km southwest in a straight line from the city center.

The station has a T-shape. It is oriented in the southwest-northeast direction. It consists of 9 rooms located around a courtyard. Its total area is 0.73 decares. It is built of medium-sized stones welded with white mortar. In some places mortar mixed with crushed brick was used.

There was a barracks room, as well as a very interesting rotunda. Mosaics from the 4th century have been found on the site. The station was built on Via Diagonalis in 317-324, during the time of the emperors Diocletian and Constantine the Great. Its existence ended after the Second Gothic War of 377-378, when it was destroyed.
