House Museum Village Cypra
Overview
The house was built at the end of the 19th century in the village of Kipra, Varna region - Devnya Municipality and in 1992 an ethnographic exposition was arranged in it. It is located in the central part of the village and has a large yard of a decare and a half among gardens of flowers, trees and greenery, surrounded by a high stone fence. There is a barn and other outbuildings in the yard. Harman (a place for separating straw from wheat) is also exhibited there. The buildings in which the ethnographic collection is located were restored in 1976 and adapted as a museum complex. The house is on one floor in a typical Revival style from the end of the 18th and the beginning of the 19th century. It consists of three rooms and a stable. The ethnographic exposition has about 200 exhibits related to the life and culture of the population in the village of Cyprus and the Devnya region - loom, darats, wheels, appliances for kneading and baking bread, sofras, baby swing, furniture for a rural home from the beginning of the XX century, fabrics / towels, aprons, pillows, bags /, 7 costumes / women's and men's /, knitted socks, buckles, etc. Particularly interesting are the targets from the early twentieth century, which are associated with wedding customs, as well as the ritual mask "Camilla", which is made for the New Year's custom with masked performers "Camilla", typical of the population in the village of Cyprus. Various customs can be organized in the house to be an attraction for foreign tourists. Such as a display of "Thracian wedding", a demonstration of kneading, grinding and making pies, pouring wine and brandy from the cellar of the house.
