House-museum of Emilian Stanev

Overview

In the heart of old Tarnovo, near the ethnographic complex Samovodska Charshia Market,  is the birthplace of the classic of Bulgarian literature Emilian Stanev. The Veliko Tarnovo home of the writer is anything but the typical museum. 

The house-museum stands on Nikola Zlatarski Street where the writer lived from his birth in 1907 to 1922 when his family moved to the town of Elena.

The authentic style of the house hasn't been preserved. On the first floor is the birthplace of the great master, where the family tree of Emilian Stanev can be examined. The "Remington" typewriter of Emilian Stanev has been preserved, which was previously used by another great Bulgarian writer - Svetoslav Minkov.
