Overview

The temple is sheltered in dense forests, in which sunlight can barely seep. They contain lianas and other shade-loving plants. One of them is the Strandzha common rhododendron - the emblem of Strandzha. Here is the second, closest to Tsarevo destination, after Marina River, which is home to the famous plant.
According to local legends, the chapel is a heavily charged energy sanctuary. There is a holy spring near it, the waters of which are believed to bring healing.
