Near the church there is a holy spring with a small chapel "St. Panteleimon" - built in 1825.

In 1877 during the Russo-Turkish War, the Kalofer Monastery was looted and burned, but was later rebuilt.

Currently, the Kalofer Convent is active. The church and the residential buildings were built in 1862. The icon "Christ the Theologian" by an unknown artist, the iconostasis partition and the whole interior attract attention in the church.
