Historical Museum Pravets

Overview

The Historical Museum in Pravets preserves the history of the Pravech region and one of the city's business cards. It is located in the center of Pravets in the building of the Cultural Complex. By a decision of December 27, 1978 of the Committee for Culture at the Chitalishte "Zarya", a general historical museum collection was established in Pravets. On April 18, 1981, the building of the Cultural Complex and that of the Historical Museum-Pravets was officially opened, with the first museum exposition. Since December 26, 1983 the museum has been included in the museum network of Bulgaria. It is a scientific and cultural-educational institute carrying out activities for collecting, registering, documenting, preserving and promoting the rich cultural and historical heritage of the Pravesh municipality.
The permanent exposition of the Pravets Historical Museum reflects in general historical terms the development of the Pravech region from antiquity to the first decades of the twentieth century. works of Bulgarian iconography of the XVII-XIX centuries.
