The lighthouse-sculpture in the town of Tsarevo

Overview

The lighthouse-sculpture in the town of Tsarevo is the first of its kind in the whole world. Discovered in 2014, it was built in the shape of a Thracian goddess. The figure of the woman is imposing, with raised hands holding an object resembling a crown or a royal wreath, but which actually serves to symbolize that the goddess is a "bearer of light." The statue is made of bronze, weighs 3 tons and is 5.5 meters high. It is mounted on a concrete pedestal and is located on the breakwater of the resort, 16 meters above sea level.
