Fountain "Malinarka"/raspberry/

Overview

One of the symbols of the town of Berkovitsa is the big fountain named "Malinarka". It is made of pink marble and is located meters from the city center - on the street to the left of the Clock Tower. Beautiful and original, the fountain offers the people of Berkovitsa and the guests of the city fresh and clean mountain water to enjoy while contemplating the Berkovitsa Balkans spreading in the distance. The Malinarka fountain is dedicated to the Berkovitsa raspberry pickers who have traveled the outskirts of the city in recent years. Their beauty and diligence were so captivating that they enchanted and admired even the unsurpassed Ivan Vazov, who dedicated one of his most incredible poems to them.
