Bath - hammam "Roman bath"

Overview

Dolna Banya is a town located in the picturesque Dolnobanska valley, on the right bank of the Maritsa River. The mild mountain climate, clean air and the presence of hot mineral springs have turned the village into a resort.

On the territory of the Kostensko-Dolnobansko riverbed there are four mineral springs with healing water, with baths for bathing and treatment built in the past. Around 1700, Hadji Radoslav from Kostenets built two buildings around the mineral springs. One was built on Roman foundations and today is known as the Roman Bath, the other is preserved as a women's ward of today's hygienic bath.
